“The Jungle Starts at Home: A Creative Guide to Illustrating Green Living”: Commission for a design studio specializing in editorial design and illustration.
The Challenge
Overall Concept of the Issue
This issue focuses on a highly practical and visual theme: a clear, aesthetically pleasing illustrated guide for those who want to bring more nature into their spaces, from hanging plants to indoor trees.
Design Objective
- To visually appeal to a young, creative audience.
- To communicate plant diversity with a warm, modern, and accessible approach.
- To educate through design: the infographic should be a useful and visually striking guide.
- To position the magazine as a fresh and artistic editorial reference in the botanical world.
Specific Creative Briefs
- Original illustration in an organic, modern, and appealing style.
- Theme: a natural or domestic scene where different plants stand out, as if they were the protagonists.
- Aesthetic suggestion: somewhere between editorial and artistic. Soft yet vibrant colors (green, terracotta, creams, citrus accents).
- Typography suggestion: clean, natural, contemporary. Ideally sans-serif or humanist serif.
The cover should function as a postcard.
